The aim of this project is to facilitate concurrent teaching between the classroom and students who choose to stay at home to learn during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Managing technology can be one of the biggest challenges for educators to handle during these uncertain times. My students will benefit from having this technology in the classroom because it will allow the students in the room to interact with those students who are not in the room. This television will be mounted on the back wall of the classroom allowing the teachers and the students in the room to be able to see and interact with students without needing to switch back and forth between screens on the smart board. This is very disruptive to the learning process. Being able to see the students in a gallery view will also allow the instructors to monitor at all times if there are any questions at home. Additionally, we will be able to monitor the chat which is very important to do while instructing using Zoom. Overall, this will increase our effectiveness and increase engagement of all students both at home and in the classroom. Having a wide range of resources in the classroom can be both helpful but distracting at the same time for young learners. It is critical that we connect with our students who are both in the classroom physically and in the classroom virtually. They must feel connected and part of the learning experience. This technology will bring our students together, creating a virtual space in our room where our learners will be fully represented and able to participate in our classroom experience.
