I have the pleasure of working with a wonderfully diverse group of fifth grade students. The students come from a low income background, single parent homes, and homes where English is the second language. Our school is currently under program improvement, which requires a large percentage of the day to be dedicated to mathematics and English language arts education. Due to this designation students truly enjoy being able to study "other" subject areas. Students have a strong interest in learning about the world around them and being able to do hands on activities is something they truly enjoy.

About my class
