Our students are very bright and motivated to learn. They come from an area of low economic development, but it doesn't stop them from soaking up everything around them. My students love to read. They open a book and tell themselves the story. Sometimes they even read to each other. Most of our students come from Hispanic homes and for many English is a second language so any experience with new vocabulary will help them.
