We have 105 engaged and high-achieving middle school students who would find inspiration and motivation from great literature and classroom discussion. They attend a school with high-parental involvement and community support. Our parents give so much already and with funding cuts continuing to effect our classroom resources, we would greatly appreciate support in integrating technology with our curriculum. My Project: My students will become passionate readers who use literature to inspire discussions that dive deep into questions about society, ethics, values, and who we are as contributing members of our community. Students will use their investigations about theme to write poetry, essays and literary analysis. I have found that students will learn to navigate this age of information when they have access to multiple media sources as well as good, old fashioned books.
