The students in my classroom live in the heart of world renowned Silicon Valley. Yet many of the families of my students are struggling, often with two wage earners seeking to provide a better life for their children. Many of my students' families see the advantage of keeping their children in schools in our area despite the high cost of living. They see their neighborhood schools offering high quality education with doors leading to greater potential for their children. At our school we provide that safe place for students to connect and feel safe. Over the past several years we've completed major renovations using bond money to make necessary improvements to the campus (such as drinking fountains that don't leak anymore). Also this past year we became a California Gold Ribbon School and are very proud of our students' accomplishments.
