Our Mount Airy City Schools students are simply AWESOME! As educators we all collaborate to provide the materials and experiences that will grow all of our children. I work as a Grants Director focusing on teaching and learning by working closely with teachers and students in our K-12 classrooms, as well as our after-school programming. We need quality literature and manipulatives that can support our problem-based and project-based learning experiences in the math classrooms. Additionally, our inquiry-based learning initiatives support the STEAM culture we are striving to support throughout our school district. STEAM provides our students with hands-on learning opportunities that will help them become problem identifiers/solvers, designers, and creative thinkers. Through real world connectedness our students will ultimately be college and career ready for the demands of our ever changing world.
