I work at a diverse elementary school in California as a speech-language pathologist. As a speech-language pathologist, I work with many students on the Autism Spectrum. My students benefit greatly from the use of short real-time videos to gain immediate feedback on their social interactions. When my students are able to improve their social interactions, they are better able to focus in class, and therefore, meet the content standards. Students on the Autism Spectrum typically enjoy technology greatly and I know they would enjoy using the iPod Touches I am requesting. I want to teach my students how to use technological resources responsibly, which is why I'm so grateful for Chevron's Fuel Your School Program!
