I have a great group of first graders who can not learn enough. They spend their spare time looking for parts of nonfiction books. My students have few material items in their private lives. Therefore, they are excited with everything that comes in the classroom that helps make learning fun. They love to learn. I can not seem to fill their hunger to learn. We are a title one school located in rural Tennessee with a very high population of free and reduced lunch students. They want to learn about animals, science, and history.
