These iPads will allow our classroom to expand our knowledge of the ever-growing technology that surrounds our culture through reading, research and production. Reading, science, and math are the foundation of all the success my kids will achieve in their lives. With iPads they can read through online books and science articles during our guided reading time, and then follow up what we read with interactive science experiments on Explore Learning's Gizmo site and Scholastic's Study Jams. Both of these have integral math pieces, and along with Reflex Math my students are becoming future problem solvers. I am eager to give my students more hands-on experiences, and I believe the background knowledge we build with these activities will be a catalyst for their success.
