I have 75 seventh graders. They range greatly in interests and reading level. Some are very hands on learners and others could read all day. Some of the students struggle greatly with comprehension. Several of my students want to become authors, one even has written some of his own short graphic novels. I love being able to challenge students to think creatively and to challenge themselves and their peers. With every novel we read we push past the story and connect to students' lives, making them critically think about the world around them and create something for themselves.

About my class
