I am currently teaching a 4th/5th grade blended classroom. Our school has a strong focus of increasing reading skills for all children. Because we are indeed at the end of the Oregon Trail it is a high interest topic for student. We try very hard to integrate this Social Studies Unit into our Language Arts Curriculum.
