My students attend an underfunded school in North Philadelphia. For many students, English is not their first language and their exploration into the world of fiction has been hesitant at best. By exposing them to a fantasy world full of unknown items and names, I want all students to encounter new ideas and have none opt out because of past difficulties with the language.
