My students mostly come from a low economic background. There is very little parental support. Most of the students come from single-dwelling homes, which many of those are on welfare. The others are either separated or have no child support for their children. This makes their jobs harder. In essence, these children look at me as a second mother. I'm here to instill everything possible that I can in these 180 days. Helping these students to know and enjoy learning and reading is essential for them to survive in the real world.
