My students are from an inner-city school in the state of Michigan. Although they live in the most dangerous zip code in their area, they are vibrant and hopeful for a better future. Some students recognize their environment, and seek to look beyond the negativity and find the hope their city has to offer. Even at the young age of 11, these sixth grade students have began looking into which universities they wish to attend and what majors they would like to pursue. These students are resilient and make their own paths to success.

About my class
