I teach in a school that is extremely diverse. Some of the students come with a magnitude of background knowledge, where some of them are just forming ideas based on experience. In my classroom, I have some students that have been identified as Gifted and Talented, as well as some second language, ESL learners. The bottom line is, all students should be given the same opportunities to learn and to share their conclusions of their investigations.
