My students are 100% Yup'ik (Alaska Native) speaking, ESL, learners. Their home is a subsistence village of 600 served by a school of 200 K-12 students. With little funding in a community of 100% free and reduced lunch, this project will provide literacy tools for one of the poorest regions in the United States. Struggling with fluency, comprehension, as well as numerous other content areas, these tools will do wonders for my students.

About my class
