I have a 5/6 combo this year. It is a diverse group including general education students, second language learners who receive free or reduced lunch due to economic hardships their families face, special needs students, and high achievers. Many students have busy lives outside the classroom. They are energetic and eager to learn. Technology is a big part or our school. Each child has their own laptop and is familiar with a project based learning environment.
