I work at a low-income, Title 1 school. This means that a high percentage of my students receive free or reduced meals at school. Due to the low socio-economic status of many of my students, many of them do not have technology at home, so I work hard to make sure they know how to use technology when they leave 5th grade. I truly believe this is crucial for their education. If they are to be successful in the future, they must learn to be computer literate, as well as working at grade level in all academic areas. I assign my students many online educational projects to do in class and this is highly motivating for them. They can't wait to get to work on these highly engaging lessons.
