My students are sophomores through seniors at an inner-city high school. It is a tier 1 school where 95% of students qualify for free or reduced price lunch. Our student body is about 50% African American and 50% Latino. Many of our students are English Language Learners. Despite many of the hardships facing the student body, most of these students are dedicated learners with incredible potential. They strive to make better futures for themselves through education.
