You can be the reason my students learn to read or read better. I have a class of 23 students from all over the world. Out of 23 students more than half are struggling readers. They attend a wonderful public school and are lucky to have so many teachers that want to help them. But my students need the right tools to be taught. 13 of my students read below a level 20 ( supposed to be on a 30 or above) and our classroom library is filled with books on level 30 to 40. Therefore, more than a dozen children a day go without truly reading. When a friend asks them to read with them, they can't because the books are too hard. No child should be ashamed or struggle when it comes to reading.
