Learning in my classroom occurs on the floor many times during our school day. My 17 students are seated on the floor for whole group lessons, but you can also find them laying on their backs on the floor reading a good book together, putting a puzzle together, laying on their stomachs completing their daily work, or seated in front of our rocking chair as I read aloud. A colorful, new carpet will give my students a comfortable, inviting place to work on projects or activities together or relax during their free time. It would be a welcome addition to our classroom.
