My second grade students are very responsive to visual and auditory stimulation. Activities that support this include manipulatives that they can use to support instruction and visual items to help enhance skills. My class really enjoys using centers and working together as a community. There is an increase of English Language Learners at our school and they respond so well to visual and hands-on learning. I firmly support the use of hands-on interactive tools in order for my students to have continuous development in all academic areas.
