My school is a Title I facility located in Harlem, NY. The students come from a lower socioeconomic background and many do not have the opportunity to attend afterschool programs that can provide a safe, stimulating environment for them to interact with fellow students. Quite a few of them do not gravitate toward athletics, and they crave an opportunity which will allow them to use their intellect instead.

About my class
