I am the proud teacher of 35 wonderful sixth graders. We are located in a socio-economically disadvantaged neighborhood in southern California. Many of my students are also English language learners who thrive with hands-on activities, visuals, and explicit instruction. We have made incredible strides in our test scores in the last few years, especially in science, which I am particularly proud of. Despite our lack of resources, our test scores continue to grow.
