My students come from all the surrounding school districts to attend the Fire Science Tech class. I want to tell a story about a student who came through the fire science and EMT class. About half way through the school year he came to me and told me that his dad last year was complaining that he was skipping classes and close to dropping out of school. In the fire science class his grades came up in all of his classes and he found the desire to succeed. This is not an isolated case; I see it every single year without exception. When student find something they love they excel everywhere.
