I teach English Language Arts to ninety-five 6th graders at a title I school in Arizona. I have several students with IEPs and a few English Language Learners. One of my classes is made up of accelerated learners which consists of many students who are in the advanced learning program and are candidates for the honors program as they go into junior high next year. The reading ability with my students ranges from non-readers to highly engaged readers. I have students who are reading at a 2nd grade level and those that are reading at a college level.
