I teach in a Title 1 Elementary School. My class third grade class is filled with African American, Caucasian, and Hispanic students, all of which hail from low income families. Aside from their financial and ethnic background, my students as a whole have exceptional character and values. This is my first year working with this group of 3rd graders. It has been a pleasure and privilege to help mold and encourage their learning. So far this year my students have maintained an eagerness to learn new information and experience new things. While my students have difficulty in reading and math,they glow with excitement at the chance to read a new text and practice new math skills.
