I am so excited to be teaching first grade for the first time! I looped up from kindergarten so I will get to work with many of my students from last year and I cannot wait to start school! My students are the most inquisitive, thoughtful and caring little people any teacher could ask for, and I adore their thirst for knowledge and learning. Despite some of the challenges that many of them face, (poverty, homelessness, unstable home environments) they come to school every day ready and willing to take embark upon this learning journey with me. They always give their best effort, even though they don't always have the resources or support that other students might have. I know that for some of them school is the only safe place they have, so I just want to make their time in my classroom as productive and happy as possible.
