I’m very happy to implement our newly adopted language art curriculum. However, our students do not have their own leveled books to go along with the program. Therefore, I would like to have a leveled library of both fiction and non-fiction in my classroom where students can read independently at their own pace during sustained silent reading and center time. I believe by having the right levels of reading books for the children will help them develop a good sense of self and the notion that "I can be a good reader!" When children feel good about themselves and the things they learn, they will thrive and be successful at school.
