My students are a sixth grade self-contained special education class. Their reading levels range from as high as fifth grade to as low as kindergarten. We are a small middle school in a poverty stricken town in Illinois. My students are an even split of girls and boys. They want to learn new things. They love to ask questions. They are infectious, it makes me try so hard to teach them what they need every day. But that is hard to do without materials.
