This spring, while school was closed to Covid-19, a raised garden bed was created for my Pre-K students outside near the playground. A garden box that we could use inside our classroom along with seeds for planting would help us get started on our gardening adventure. In addition to the garden box, I want to help my students create a pizza garden, growing the spices and tomatoes that would go on pizza and then we could make pizza to eat one day at snack. By growing their own food, students are more open to eating foods they may not otherwise try.
