I have a wonderful class of seven students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities. Four of the students are totally wheelchair dependent for mobility and two are dependent on a wheelchair for most mobility. My students also have difficulty regulating their bodies' sensory systems and require a lot of help to adjust to changes in their environment. But don't let that fool you - my students are fantastic! They are capable of so much and work hard every single day. They attend a special school for students with significant physical and cognitive disabilities, where they participate in such classes as Life Skills, Art, Music, adapted PE, Computer, and of course Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies!

About my class
