Having an iPad Pro in my classroom will allow me to monitor student engagement while walking through walkways of my classroom. I am currently tied to my desk and computer during lectures. I can actively monitor students during videos, because I could remotely play them to the projector with an iPad. In my school, the science lab is separate from the classroom. Having an iPad will allow me to seamlessly move from my classroom to the lab with the students. I will have all of the videos and technology I need without any additional prep. Having an iPad will allow me to grade quickly and efficiently providing immediate feedback to students anytime of day. Being a one to one school where everyone has their own laptop, I have transitioned my classroom to a program called "Canvas." This program allows the students to submit assignments digitally. It will enhance my ability to create assignments and upload them in a timely manner. The iPad will also allow me to grade digital assignments away from school. I also utilize "Edulastic", which is an online assessment tool. During these assessments, I need to be among the students to see their monitors. The iPad would aid me to have a device that I can walk around the room while receiving their assessment submissions. Having the Apple pencil will allow me to write directly on the students' assignments to make corrections and provide feedback. This is especially helpful with the writing assignments and lab reports.
