My students are some of the hardest working kids, who have been dealt a very tough hand. 80% of my students come from a broken home and struggling finances. Many of them have latched on to music to bring them joy and help deal with their struggles. I teach a musical theater course within a high school. Unfortunately we don't receive funding, so I have had to struggle to make do with the little resources that we do have.
