I have rising sixth grade students who have evolved from the everyday structure of fifth grade to the new expectations of sixth grade. My students are eager and willing to meet me in their new class and gain a sense of ownership of the learning that takes place daily. Most of my students live below the poverty line, get most of their meals from school, and just look for a chance to see that they matter in this world.

About my class
