The students in my school are almost all low-income and of a minority population. They have incredible potential, and with educators and community-members who support them, they can accomplish great things. These are sixteen year-old kids who have been adults since they were twelve. The comfort that many Americans grow up in does not exist in many neighborhoods around our school, and yet these students are impressively resilient and dedicated to educating themselves toward a better life. They all have goals for themselves, and as an educator and role model, I hope to keep their dreams alive and provide them with tools that will help those dreams be realized.

About my class
