I teach in a small 2A school, most of whom come from low-income families and are on free or reduced lunches. Nevertheless, these students will someday be expected to compete with others on various levels. The basic skills of Reading and Writing are required elements for a productive life, and in addition, today's students must also learn 21st Century skills: communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. In order for my students to accomplish this, they need to capitalize on the technology tools to which they are exposed at school because more often than not, they do not have these tools available for their use at home. I strive to provide them with the same educational opportunities as students in larger districts.

About my class
