My students are in 10-12 grades at a public high school on the Mississippi Coast. They are all interested in becoming health care professionals some day. We started school in August and I can already tell that these are hands-on learners. Give them a task to do and they are all up and ready to do it. Assign them a chapter to read with no interaction and you might as well say, "go to sleep." The passion just isn't there. I love to provide as many interactive situations as possible and these students love it when I do.
