My students are extremely active and eager to learn. They love having the opportunity to meet as a "family" in the morning during morning meeting, as well as several different times throughout the day. They enjoy having the opportunity to share experiences and discussions with each other in places other than at their seats. They also love to read the stories such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid, however as a first year teacher, I have very little of these books in my classroom library. This is also a story that for many of my students requires them to read with someone because the level of the book is much beyond their independent level. I hope that by having these books available in my classroom, we can read them as a class.
