My scholars are sponges. They have a desire to learn that I have not seen in a long time. My kids like novels and really enjoy the discussions and writing we do based upon the novels I'm able buy or check out of the local library. Our school population is greater than 75% free or reduced lunch. Our textbooks are over 7 and 12 years old. Our middle school was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and we were able to remodel our school. Our resources are aged because the need in math and language arts was given first priority.
