My students are special education students in a substantially separate environment. Within our population we have 93% free lunch. They are kind, motivated, healthy students that love to learn but have been put in situations they should not be in. The majority of them have behavioral/mental issues that are being addressed in my classroom along with the collaboration of speech therapist, counselor, and other outside agencies. They are with me for the whole day and like to do hands on projects of all kinds. They are so thankful for my staff and I on a daily basis for the small things such as: a smile, a warm greeting, a cupcake, an extra earned gym or art class. My students and I appreciate any materials that assist us in learning and are grateful to all the assist in this endeavor.
