The student population at my school consists of a student majority of English Language Learners. My school has an 87% poverty rating and contains the highest population of homeless students in the city schools. A lot of our students live in shelters and are constantly moving around. For my kids, school is a safe place. Somewhere they can go and know that everything will be consistent and safe. My students have the same desire as any student-to learn and have fun while doing it! It is important to me that my students have learning experiences that are engaging and memorable, so that their learning occurs at a maximum potential!
