My students are seniors who come from diverse socio economic and cultural backgrounds. Such diversity encourages open-mindedness and exploration, traits I wish them to have towards literature. While many of my students already display a love of reading, just as many struggle due to negative connotations towards reading. Some have learning disabilities that make comprehension difficult. Others have simply forgotten what it is like to sit down with a good book. I pride myself with having a strong class library, but with close to 170 students, the supply is not enough for the demand. It is my hope that with your generosity I will be able to provide the library that my students will love and deserve.
