When every student has a working computer, he or she has the ability to work at their own pace and their own level. It is ideal for a classroom like mine that has so many different ability levels and language proficiency. My Spanish speaking students who are emergent readers will be able to listen to audio books in Spanish as they follow along, reading the highlighted words on the screen . My dyslexic students and Special Education students can learn using special programs tailored to their specific individualized learning plans. The Gifted and Talented students can use Makey Makeys and Scratch on these computers to create interactive presentations to showcase their learning.
