I have the amazing opportunity to work with sixth through eighth grade students. I work with students with autism and speech/language impairments. Every day these students are making strides to become the best versions of themselves. A large percentage of our students are eligible for free or reduced lunch and are English Language Learners. My students are continually teaching me new things and I am humbled with the opportunity to be their teacher. In my classroom we presume competence. My students can learn, communicate and participate in their own way. We have the pleasure of providing opportunities for them to show others that their voice matters.
