My students live in a community where only 4.2% of the population holds a college degree. They attend a charter school with excellent teachers, but have to overcome obstacles just to come to school every day. As a student of our charter organization, our students are committed to uplifting their community. Our class, Anatomy & Physiology, represents a huge opportunity for my students to be inspired by the beauty of science in the world around them. Whether this appreciation leads them STEM fields and careers, or helps them navigate the complex health issues of our time to advocate for themselves & their families, they deserve the very, very best science education we can offer them.
