The children in my classroom are five and six years olds. The majority of these students are entering school for the very first time and each morning they come in excited about what is new for the day. Their curiosity and excitement is heartwarming. My school has a high student population that comes from a low socio-economic household and the majority of my students belong to this life of poverty. Half of my kindergarten students are Hispanic, and are being exposed to the English language for the very first time. In addition, my school is also composed of a high migrant population and the majority do not have access to computers outside of school. Unfortunately, during school hours is the only time the majority of my students get the opportunity to use technology. Therefore, my goal is to give each of my students the opportunity to use technology during our math and reading centers.
