Our school is home to the mighty wild Tiger students. This is a multicultural urban middle school whose focus is the development of students' academic skills. The students are eager beavers and are excited about learning. This school is home away from home to many at-risk students who are seeking to better themselves through rigorous learning. This is a historical school that has a massive alumni associations and community sponsors. Both teachers and the community support students learning through encouragement, mentoring programs, and small amounts of funding. Teachers spend a great deal of time teaching and tutoring students as they prepare students for secondary learning. Students are showing minimum gain on the state standardized test. However, the students are determined to succeed, and students participate in weekly tutoring to help with their studies.
