My school is located in an urban setting in Colorado, at my school we have a wide variety of students from a large range of backgrounds from all over the world. My students are hungry for learning and they want to connect with the world. We are part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and my students are always being pushed to go deeper and apply their learning in different ways. My school's population is 85% free and reduced lunch, and 76% Hispanic/Latino. My students are also 44.6% English Language Learners. Many of my students use technology at school and only school as they are not able to afford the technology at home. For my ELL students we are able to get them on the limited supply of computers that we have to allow them to use text to speech and Google translate. While my students certainly have their challenges they are constantly pushing to make themselves better. Any tools that can help them in this mission would be extremely well used and appreciated.
