My students are energetic, curious teenagers who can lose focus pretty easily if they find something boring. They attend a school where the novels in the book room are best described as archaic. Even though the themes of these novels are universal and timeless, the novels themselves are outdated. These students are constantly asking for novels with protagonists they can relate to, and that is set in a more recent time period.
